I'm a freelance medical and healthcare writer based in the greater Philadelphia area with a background in clinical laboratory science, microbiology, and infectious diseases. My education, training, and experience have allowed me to assist healthcare professionals in effectively communicating their ideas and research findings at appropriate levels for targeted audiences.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and completed clinical lab rotations for my degree in Medical Technology at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. After becoming certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), I spent most of my career working in microbiology.
